The Day Before

Dear friends,

As you all know, this Tuesday, we Americans will elect our president. To some, this is almost a non-event and means next to nothing. But to some, this election evidently means much, much more.

Thanks to the Internet (and the media that loves to cover this stuff) I've heard some people claim that if this person wins, they will riot. Or, if that person wins, they will leave the country.

Seriously?

I cannot tell you how utterly shocked, angered, and disappointed I am to hear such blather. It is obvious that these people are not serious. There's no other country on Earth they would be allowed to utter such none sense without having to pay a heavy price

Maybe I am naive, but I honestly believe that our great country can withstand the incompetence and ineptitude of any man or woman elected to the presidency.

Rest assured, no matter who wins tomorrow, we Americans will do what we have always done when our candidate does not win. We will bemoan the results. We will reflect on what went wrong. Then, we will pick ourselves up and get back to work.

And we will gear up for the next round of elections, and work doubly hard to make sure our candidate DOES win.

Good day.
